Hotline and
Rewards Program:
CICP provides a 24/7 hotline and reward program so that suspicious activity on jobsites can be easily reported.
Reward signs are a first line defense against thieves. These large and colorful signs engage workers on the site, are visible to people driving by and businesses in the area, and announce that criminal activity is not acceptable on this jobsite. Find out more.
No one wants crime in their neighborhood and the reward signs encourage neighbors to report unusual and possibly criminal activity.
CICP maintains 24/7 contact information for our members. When a reward sign is posted on your jobsite, law enforcement has a way of contacting the contractor after hours and on weekends and holidays when crimes most often occur.

Broadcast Email and
Fax System:
CICP distributes loss reports, or ALERTs to CICP members and law enforcement officials throughout the Pacific Northwest region. Nearly 1000 people regularly receive CICP ALERTs. - this is a substantial number watching out for stolen property. The ALERTs also provide information about how thieves are getting onto jobsites, what they are taking, and specific steps that contractors can implement to make their jobsites less vulnerable to criminal activity. Law enforcement officers use the system to distribute information about recovered items when the owner is not known.
Find out more.
This may enable the owner of a costly piece of equipment to reclaim the item and get it back to work at their site in a timely manner. ALERTs are also used to distribute crime prevention education and to inform members of the latest in theft and vandalism patterns.
CICP has expanded our Broadcast Email and Fax ALERT system to include metal recyclers. Now, when a metal theft is reported to CICP we distribute that information to metal recyclers. As a result, the recyclers now advise CICP when unusual items are being sold at the scrap yard and we get that information to our members.
Remember, every loss is important - there is no loss that we would consider too small. Please submit a loss report for all stolen or missing items.
Jobsite, Shop and Yard Security Surveys:
CICP staff will come to your jobsite or equipment yard to conduct a jobsite walkthrough or security survey. A jobsite security survey form is included in the CICP member handbook to assist you in conducting your own survey. We will help identify areas that make your jobsite vulnerable to theft and make suggestions to make your site more secure. We coordinate with local law enforcement and often they accompany us on those visits.
CICP is a Liaison to Law Enforcement:
CICP helps facilitate jobsite crime prevention planning meetings with local jurisdictions before and during a project. CICP also provides assistance in identifying equipment, serial numbers and facilitating sensitive suspect information between property crime detectives in different jurisdictions. CICP maintains 24/7 contacts for our members so that law enforcement can make contact after hours and on weekends or holidays when they may be holding suspects or when there is other suspicious or unusual activity on the jobsite.
Theft Prevention Education and Training:
CICP provides members education and training at supervisor, toolbox, or company meetings. CICP staff also offers specialized training sessions and presentations at conferences and other special events. To learn more about customized training Click here.
Posters, Signs, and Decals:
Reward, No Trespassing, and Parent Alert signs are available for a small charge. These signs are your first line of defense and inform people living, working or driving by the jobsite that you are serious about preventing theft. Order Signs and Decals
